Registration of Patrons

The Ferris Public Library's budget is contributed to by taxes paid by residents of the City of Ferris. Therefore, library borrowing privileges and/or computer usage are available at no charge to residents who reside within city limits; people receiving water services from the City of Ferris.

Others may apply for borrowing privileges by paying the current non-resident fee established by the Ferris Public Library. Persons under the age of 17 must have a parent or caregiver register for them. The library will waive non-resident fee for persons 65 and older for their personal reading use only. Each person desiring to borrow materials must complete a library card application and furnish required documentation; driver's license, or other valid picture identification issued by a government agency. City residents must furnish a Ferris water bill, with address matching identification for a card at no charge. The library will seek to protect the privacy of library users.
